The 4th Grand Slam final has taken the unprecendented step of organizing the first half in South America, and then moving onto Bilbao for the return legs of this double round robin.
Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil (and along with Buenos Aires one of the two largest in the continent) is where all the action starts. The World's top three are amongst the six invited players.
The event takes place from the 26th of September until the 11th of Octobre 2011. The first series of games being in Sao Paulo until the 1st of October before moving back to the New World where play will begin again in Bilbao on the 6th of October.

The time control is: 90'/40 plus 60' (+10") KO.
No draws without the arbiter's permission and 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw (Sofia rules), are both applied to increase 'fighting spirit'.
If two players are equal first then there will be some Blitz games to determine a sole winner.
