Cappelle finishes with Zherebukh ahead

Cappelle is over for another year and everyone can make their way home with the knowledge that yet another major tournament has been won by a schoolboy! Yaroslav Zherebukh stamps his mark on history with an amazing 7.5/9 and a 2700+ result.

The winner takes 3000 euros whereas the players on seven points take between 2000 and 800.

The prizes are not particularly high for such a strong event, but many players go to Cappelle la Grande to play an excellent chess tournament and not worry too much about the money. Many highly ranked players didn't finish in the prizes, but the following ten definitely did!
