Carlsen on target in Nanjing

The 2010 Pearl Spring tournament is underway.
A good start for Magnus Carlsen who comfortably beat Etienne Bacrot in the first round. The other two encounters were drawn.

The 'Pearl Spring' super-tournament in Nanjing is now well-established as one of the strongest closed tournaments of the year. The World's top three, plus three other 2700s make up this year's line-up.
